Novodevichy convent at night
Novodevichy (New Maiden's) convent, which located near pond , attracts a lot of tourists for sigthseeing. I like very much this place, very quiet and peaceful here, in spite of that this is very close to center of the city...
During for 400 years the Novodevichy Convent was the witness and the participant of important historical events, connected with the names of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov, Sofia and Peter I. The architectural ensemble of the convent was formed by the end of 17th century and till now remains one of the best in Russia.
The convent is rather like a miniature Kremlin. Russian architects created a festive ensemble by combining traditional Russian architecture with some compositional devices of the Moscow baroque architecture.

Our time in Moscow would not have been the same without Arthur. He was an incredible guide and truly became our friend. We hope to see him again some day. And, by the way, nobody knows the streets of Mosocow like he does.
