Domes of St. Basil's Cathedral

Domes of St. Basil's Cathedral

By its architectural design, the St. Basil Cathedral comprises nine individual churches each crowned by a unique tower. The main church of the Mother of God is in the middle and 8 chapels crowned with onion domes positioned around the central form an eight-pointed star. This symbolizes the supremacy and protection of the Mother of God over all the Orthodox Church and over the Russian lands.

The church's design is based on deep religious symbolism and was meant to be an architectural representation of the New Jerusalem - the Heavenly Kingdom described in the Book of Revelation of St. John the Divine.

Time has flown since we got back from our trip and I apologize for taking so long to write.
We had a wonderful time in Moscow and you were part of the reason. Moscow is a
beautiful city and you showed us many great places that we would not have seen on our
own. You were also a lot of fun to be with and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you.
You were always on time, if not early, and because of that we depended on you and you
never let us down. We will definitely recommend you to anyone that is traveling to Moscow.

The best to you and your wife,
Sharon Carrell
